  • Work with colleagues to identify themes and seize storylines to shape our coverage of some of the biggest companies and business leaders
  • Think creatively about how to tackle reporting challenges and engage audiences
  • Work collaboratively on all aspects of a story from conception, to the visuals and headlines to produce world-class business journalism
  • Experiment with a wide array of reporting formats, from visuals to podcasts and video
  • Edit stories quickly, effectively and clearly, ensuring that they are compelling and adhere to WSJ standards.

You have:

  • Experience with sourcing and the ability to help reporters cultivate the networks they need to be effective.
  • Keen news judgment and ability to handle complex and sensitive coverage.
  • Elite-level communication and organization skills and excellent writing ability.
  • The combination of ambition and empathy that will inspire reporters to get the best out of themselves while managing the pressures of high-profile beats.
  • A collegial approach to coordinating coverage and facilitating mutual help among reporters and editors.
  • The very highest standards of excellence, and a commitment to ambitious and distinctive journalism and a willingness to experiment
