The Deputy Corporate Bureau Chief will help lead a talented team of reporters covering management issues, entrepreneurs and business leaders as well as some of the biggest U.S. industries, including retail, consumer brands, manufacturing, telecoms and transport.
You will be responsible for handling breaking news, shaping our beat coverage, driving investigations and delivering distinctive enterprise stories. To succeed in this role, you will need to exercise sharp news judgment, juggle assignments and inspire your colleagues.
The editor will work hand-in-hand with the bureau chief and another editor to set the tone for our biggest stories of the year and find the best ways to deploy our staff to uncover and tell the best business stories. To succeed, you will need to be both collaborative and creative.
You will be expected to carry on the Journal’s tradition of excellence and to think creatively and innovatively about how we cover stories for a digital audience. Experience in tackling complex projects in business and finance is a must.
