This role requires a deep, nuanced understanding of the business world, from startups to global corporations, and the economic forces that shape markets and industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a world-class team: Build, mentor, steer a group of senior leaders and reporters to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Define the coverage agenda: Set the strategic direction for our daily news flow and long-term projects, ensuring our work is consistently ambitious and distinctive.
- Champion innovation: Drive new approaches to digital journalism and spearhead their adoption across the newsroom.
- Collaborate and represent: Work closely with senior leaders across our global newsroom and serve as a public face for our coverage.
Qualifications
- More than ten years of experience managing reporters or editors in a major news organization.
- Deep knowledge of the economy, markets and corporations–as well as the key players and forces that drive them.
- Proven track record of managing exclusive news coverage and complex, long-form journalism.
- An unwavering commitment to the highest standards of accuracy, integrity and journalistic excellence.
