The Information seeks a senior money and power reporter

Who’s calling the shots in technology? Where are they pushing the industry? How are they influencing the larger culture? What are the power dynamics propping them up or tearing them down?

The Information’s Weekend section is invested in exploring all of these  questions, covering the intersection of technology, power, money, and culture in Silicon Valley and beyond. Our ambitious journalism seeks to not just capture the conversations happening behind closed doors in the Valley, but to directly influence them.

We’re looking for a veteran, in-their-prime feature writer who can help extend our brand of ambitious, in-depth reporting to incisive interviews with CEOs and creators; investigative pieces on executives and investors; deep dives into workplace culture; and scene reports on the era’s most zeitgeist-defining cultural trends. A minimum of five years’ professional experience reporting on tech and business and other nexuses of power are necessary.

The Information is an eight-year-old subscription-only publication, which has established a reputation for high-quality business coverage of tech and media industries, both in breaking news and through in-depth features. We now have a team of roughly 30 reporters and editors and are continuing to grow steadily. We have attracted tens of thousands of paying subscribers, including some of the most influential people on the planet. Our editing team includes alumni of the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and the New York Times.
