The reporter will be responsible for covering Valero Energy, San Antonio’s largest publicly traded company; CPS Energy, the city-owned power provider; Toyota Texas; and other businesses based here. We also will look to this reporter for informed coverage of consumer fuel prices, renewable energy, labor market trends and government job creation efforts.
The successful candidate will have strong news judgment, a firm command of AP style and the ability to turn out breaking news stories quickly and develop deeper stories off the beat.
