The high-profile beat includes breaking news on IPOs and other forms of fundraising by companies in markets that stretch from China to Japan and India to South Korea, as well as regulatory changes that have a bearing on capital market activities.
The role will also focus on writing agenda-setting trend analyses on topics related to capital raising and changes in regulatory landscapes, and working on deeply reported enterprise stories for a global readership at a time when the heightened Sino-US tensions have put a spotlight on how Chinese companies, in particular, are going to weather the geopolitical challenges and access foreign capital in offshore markets including Hong Kong and New York.
About the Role

- Work closely and seamlessly with colleagues in the global finance & markets team and beyond
- Have a drive to pursue stories with tenacity and perseverance
- Be able to work with multimedia teams, including pictures, graphics and videos
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Asia Capital Markets and Regulations Correspondent if your background includes:
- Deep understanding and interest in capital markets and deals, as well as the changing regulatory environment in the region
- Exceptional source-building and networking skills, and ability to dig for information and be relentlessly competitive
