Reuters is looking for a Financial Graphics Reporter who can analyze and transform data on companies, economics and markets into clear, accurate and compelling visual/graphical representations for use across all the platforms where we publish.
About the Role
As a Financial Graphics Reporter you will:
- Create daily breaking news graphics across markets, economics and companies beats
- Generate story and graphics ideas from the financial news of the day
- Identify and report out bespoke or interesting data sets
- Work closely with our financial news reporters as well as the wider graphics team
About You
As a Financial Graphics Reporter you should have:
- A passion for financial data and stories, and for telling those stories graphically
- Proficiency in Datawrapper, Flourish, Tableau or similar off-the-shelf chart creating tools
- Journalism degree or equivalent newsroom work experience
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, mapmaking software such as QGIS, programmatic data manipulation and charting skills in languages such as R or Python and front end web development skills is highly preferred
