Newsday is seeking a business reporter to cover affordability issues and general assignment topics.

Essential Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Extensive business reporting experience is not required.
  • The successful candidate will be able to explain to consumers how business trends relate to their lives and affect their wallets.
  • Candidates should have strong writing and reporting skills, and embrace social media as a tool to spot trends and connect with diverse audiences.

Compensation

  • This position is represented by the Graphics Communication Conference, IBT.
  • The hourly base rate range for this role is $31.27 – $51.30, commensurate with experience.
