MarketWatch.com seeks a crypto reporter

MarketWatch.com seeks a reporter to cover crypto, blockchain, and the burgeoning world of decentralized finance. This writer should relish demystifying complex topics, identifying risks and opportunities for investors, and poking holes in all the hype and hysteria.

Tasked with making sense of one of the most exciting and confounding beats we cover, this reporter will be expected to dig up scoops of fact and analysis that give readers the information and insights they need to lead richer financial lives.

At MarketWatch our mission is to help readers understand what the news of the moment means for their money. Living up to that promise means explaining often challenging topics in a way that is relatable and useful to a general audience of investors, consumers, and humans without ever dumbing things down. We also strive to be engaging, fast, and fun.

Requirements: A minimum of three years’ reporting experience, a passion for the crypto and the future of finance, and a healthy dose of skepticism. The position will ideally be based in New York, but we will consider candidates from elsewhere if you can make a case that your location can be an asset to our coverage.
