Law360 is seeking a copy editor in London. As Copy Editor you will be ensuring the accuracy and clarity of written content. You will use your communication skills and attention to detail to edit content successfully.
Responsibilities
- Editing stories to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Working collaboratively with reporters to help them improve writing and reporting
- Ensuring that all stories adhere to Law360 and AP Style
- Handling six to eight news stories per day, with the opportunity to develop into feature editing capacity
Requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in English, Journalism, or a related field at a Bachelor’s level
- Be highly proficient in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Have experience with copy or sub editing
- Be able to work collaboratively with a team while also demonstrating self-sufficiency
- Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Able to use AP style
- Be detail-oriented and able to maintain focus for extended periods of time
