International Trade Today, the leading independent publication dealing with the news and information needs of importers, exporters, trade lawyers, customs brokers and others in the trade business, seeks an enterprising trade reporter to write about trade negotiations and policymaking, court cases involving trade, export controls and shifts in the international trade industry.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated. They should be able to thrive in a daily deadline news environment and should have the judgment to decide what needs to be covered to inform an audience of top industry and government officials.
The successful applicant will be expected to write forward-looking stories on what’s happening behind the scenes at regulatory agencies, ports and courts. They also will write longer-term and project-based stories.
