  • Pitch story ideas and work with editors to refine angles
  • Write an average of 5 items per week, of varying length and depth

  • Produce daily and weekly newsletters alongside your team — reporting, writing and editing every day in a collaborative fashion
  • Work as a team player to support CIO Dive’s ambitious goals

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in Enterprise IT coverage or translatable business reporting experience preferred.
  • A proven track record of strong journalism business reporting and writing skills
  • Ability to interpret and analyze business concepts, earnings reports, industry trends, and major news stories and to connect the dots to highlight larger trends
  • Ability to build relationships with important sources and report on complex subjects
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing business and financial news, trends and concepts
  • Deadline-oriented time management skills; ability to turn around stories on tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced news environment — reporters might need to quickly pivot to cover emerging news
  • Bachelor’s degree or better in journalism, English or similar field
