Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced and versatile editor to join its editing Hub in London to help shape the highest-profile stories in the region and shepherd the newsroom’s most ambitious work.
You’ll be part of a team of editors working with journalists across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to craft compelling narratives for a global audience, delivering smart and readable stories that can play on Bloomberg platforms including the terminal, the website and magazines such as Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets. You’ll also need a deep understanding of the trends and developments that are shaping the news cycle in this region.
Flexibility is key: Ideally, you’re as comfortable working with fast turnarounds as with complicated and lengthy projects. You’re imaginative and nimble, with the ability to distill complex ideas and move effortlessly between coverage areas including politics, economics, finance and corporate news. You’re a clear communicator, with an interest in cultivating and fostering collaboration across teams that span numerous locations and time zones.
You’ll need to have:
- A minimum of 5 years of editing experience
- A passion for news
- A proven track record of conceiving and producing long-form features
