Bloomberg is seeking an editor to help shape and showcase the biggest stories of the day for our growing online audience. As a member of the nerve center of the newsroom, you will be expected to perform a variety of roles: Curate Bloomberg’s homepages, write sharp headlines, craft social and SEO language and send speedy mobile alerts.
WE’LL TRUST YOU:
- To be a self-starter with a passion for breaking news as well as longer-form pieces – and presenting them all in clear and exciting ways
- Have a deep understanding of the trends and coverage areas that matter for our digital audience
- Collaborate with reporters and editors across Bloomberg’s global newsroom and digital platforms
- To be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that often requires making split-second decisions, and be willing to pitch in across roles
- YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
- A minimum of 4 recent years of experience covering business journalism or financial markets
- Experience working at a real-time news service or publishing environment would be an asset
- Prior experience with SEO tools and Socialflow is a plus
- Excellent news judgment and strong attention to detail
- A collaborative spirit and a commitment to innovate and experiment
