Bloomberg News is seeking a deputy bureau chief for Germany, who will also take direct responsibility for leading our German-language coverage.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and people skills, and demonstrate an ability to work with our teams and bureaus in the country to make sure we’re connecting the dots on our core coverage areas of politics, economics, tech, business and markets in Europe’s largest economy.

In this Berlin-based position, you will work directly with our Germany bureau chief to make sure our stories are top notch across all platforms from the Bloomberg Terminal and digital to radio and television.

It’s a fast-paced and high-profile role that will allow the right person to help shape the daily news agenda across our bureaus in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich, while also conceiving of and executing on in-depth features and enterprise stories that add value for readers.

We’ll trust you to:

  •   Show strong news judgment to identify the most important stories in Germany that matter for our global readership
  •   Write and edit stories under deadline pressure in both English and German
  •   Be able to work across platforms including print and TV/video

You’ll need to have:
