Key responsibilities:
Oversee The Eagle’s business news report and provide direction to reporters for comprehensive coverage.
Ensure our digital platforms are at the forefront of breaking news stories.
Edit content for both digital and print mediums, collaborating closely with our digital and print design teams.
Produce The Eagle’s daily business report, weekly business section, monthly business section, occasional special sections.
Coordinate business coverage among correspondents and staff writers.
Write compelling breaking business news and features.
Qualifications:
Strong track record in daily journalism.
Proficient in digital story-telling platforms.
Passion for community journalism and a deep interest in public life.
Self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional editing skills with a focus on jargon-free, reader-centric content.
At least five years of relevant experience as an editor, reporter.
