FT seeks reporter/producer for Due Diligence

September 4, 2025

Posted by Chris Roush

The FT is looking for an enterprising and financially literate reporter to join the team that writes and produces Due Diligence, the flagship global briefing on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and private equity. You will help continue the success of the newsletter, which reaches more than 48,000 premium FT subscribers.

This is a great opportunity for a multi-tasker seeking to learn from some of the best reporters in the business and play a role in shaping the future of financial and business news and how it is consumed. The role is based in NYC.

The candidate will write for DD, and produce the daily briefing by pulling together contributions from a core set of writers, in addition to the broader FT global network.

DD has grown from a newsletter to a platform producing a series of live events around the world. The candidate is expected to participate in the series’ editorial development and execution, as well as other initiatives.

On any given day, you may need to:

  • Produce and edit DD content
  • Write a short note for the briefing with punchy, concise writing
  • Act as an additional reporter on the team producing news
  • Work on strategies to grow the newsletter’s audience

Who we are looking for

Knowledge of and a demonstrable interest in global business and financial markets is an advantage but not essential. More important is an appetite to learn quickly what makes the business personalities in the dealmaking world tick and turn these insights into world-class corporate reporting.

We are looking for a team player willing to work closely with all members of the newsroom. Keen interest or experience in the competitive environment for newsletters would be an added bonus as well as experience in engaging a finance-focused audience.

Please submit your application by the end of the day, Thursday, September 18 2025.
