Time Out is looking for writers

Time Out is currently on the lookout for brilliant travel writers around the world to work with on lots of exciting new projects. We are looking for writers based in specific places abroad to assign stuff to, and will also send regular pitch callouts to some of those who’ve emailed.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a cover letter explaining why you are the right fit for the job
  • Include a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits
  • Attach your strongest clips or links to published work
  • Be sure to add a resume detailing your writing experience

COMPENSATION

  • ~$270-$400- for 900-1,000-word pieces, depending on format and research involved. It is recommended that you discuss the rate(s) individually upon acceptance of your pitch.
