Life & Thyme is looking for writers

Life & Thyme is looking to expand our contributor pool of writers in the US South. If you’re a writer in the south that’s comfortable with covering Life & Thyme-y topics (foodways, history, culture, policy, etc.). We’re not looking for pitches just yet, just looking to expand our contributor pool in the region for future assignments.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Life & Thyme is a platform for culinary storytelling, curated from a global network of contributors. It hopes to expand critical conversations, encourage cooperation and inclusiveness, and promote the enjoyment and awareness of food culture, its complexity and creativity.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a cover letter explaining why you are the right fit for the job
  • Include a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits
  • Attach your strongest clips or links to published work
  • Be sure to include a resume detailing your writing experience.

COMPENSATION

  • $200 and $500 for most stories.
