Expertology is looking for remote experts in the area of grant writing and copy writing that can help us serve our clients for their virtual expert needs. As a virtual expert you will work 100% remote and enjoy working with a number of different clients. We offer a very competitive pay structure and this is a great opportunity as full or part time.
ABOUT THE ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Find and evaluate grant opportunities, using a variety of grant databases, such as GrantStation, Instrumentl, and Grants.gov
- Conduct research for grant proposals
- Writing, revising, and editing grant proposals, and RFPs
- Read and understand nonprofit budgets and financial statements, and then be able to translate those budgets into the required grant formats
- Guide clients through budget development for programs
- Create or guide clients through the creation or gathering of required grant attachments
- Enter grant applications into online submission portals or compile grant submission materials for email or mail-in submission
- Work collaboratively with our clients to accurately capture their work in the proposal and design feasible programs, budgets, and timelines for their organization
- Manage grant projects well by maintaining clear communication and timelines with clients, problem solving, and anticipating roadblocks
- Follow our standard operating procedures for client communications, grant searches, grant writing, and grant submission
- Conduct client prospecting to identify and evaluate potential clients
- Perform duties dependably, reliably, and with minimal supervision
- Interact positively with clients and supervisors, exhibit patience with clients who need extra help
- Be a good listener and focus on solutions with clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a U.S. resident
- All positions are remote and require your own computer and internet access
- Must have a quiet area to work from
- Must have experience or education in a field related to our work e.g., English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Technical Writing
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be proficient in Microsoft suite
- Experience in portal software a plus
- Minimum of 2 years experience of contract writing , RFP writing , grant writing , professional writing, copywriting, or corporate communications
