DW Academie is looking for writers to contribute deeply reported, compelling features on the environment and climate change from around the world.

 ABOUT THE COMPANY

DW Akademie aims to strengthen the human right to freedom of expression. It plays a leading role in the development of free media systems, creating access to information, setting standards for education and independent journalism. DW Global is its platform for reporting on solutions to the climate crisis, the latest green technology, and the people leading climate action and environmental protection.

WHAT DW ACADEMIE IS LOOKING FOR

There is interest for stories that shed light on creative and effective solutions, giving a voice to the marginalized.  We want our writers to show how policies are playing out on the ground and matter to people’s lives. It is important that our writers tell a story from an unusual perspective. Keep in mind, we have an  international audience and want writers that can break down complex topics into clear, understandable and powerful narratives. Your story should be original enough to appeal to specialists and accessible enough to inform a general interest reader.

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.
