Responsibilities:
- Seeking a writer to support our afternoon and evening newscasts
- This is an excellent position for someone looking to gain writing and producing experience in a top-rated newsroom.
- Writer must have strong journalism skills, understand writing for television newscasts, work under tight deadlines, build graphics and collaborate with producers and assignment desk.
- Writer will be trained to produce newscasts and will fill-in on occasion.
- Only candidates interested in producing will be considered.
- Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred.
- Experience with iNews or other newscast software is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.

Salary: $30.44-43.45 per hour for California
