Fox Business seeks associate homepage editor

FoxBusiness.com seeks an Associate Homepage Editor.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying, editing and publishing Fox Business-generated, freelance, and wire-service stories;
  • Managing story flow, page turns and presentation of Foxbusiness.com homepage and sections;
  • Monitor real-time analytics to maximize traffic and engagement
  • Pitching and writing breaking news and feature stories as assigned;
  • Writing compelling headlines, photo captions for Foxbusiness.com stories/section fronts;
  • Identifying, cropping and treating photos and graphics for placement throughout Foxbusiness.com

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a breaking and business news environment
  • Demonstrated editing, writing and news judgment skills
  • Excellent knowledge of current business news and relevant history
  • Flexibility to work different shifts to cover 24-hour news cycle
  • Experience with standard digital analytics and metrics
  • Some HTML, Photoshop experience a plus
