Fox Business Network seeking associate producers

Fox Business Network is seeking associate producers.

This is a producer track position for candidates with 3+years television experience producing segments and booking guests for live news programs.  Control room experience required.

Duties include but not limited to: Pitching stories, producing segments, booking guests, writing packets, producing reporter hits, in-depth research, networking, producing graphics, and most importantly, the ability to work under intense deadline pressure in the control room during the program.

Candidates must show high-level knowledge of the financial markets, business news and have the ability to react to breaking news with instant programming ideas.  Some line-producing experience is a plus.

A successful candidate will be an aggressive, self-starter who works well with a team and can interact with high profile talent and all-level guests.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
