Fortune is hiring an energetic and creative tech correspondent and co-chair for our technology coverage and annual conference. This is an individual who is thoughtful and passionate about all things tech, well sourced in both startups, large tech companies, and the VC world, and motivated and invigorated by live journalism, with an eye for what makes for great conversations on stage.
The ideal candidate will be based in San Francisco, but candidates elsewhere are encouraged to apply.
You will:
- Cochair Fortune’s annual Brainstorm Tech conference, helping to set the editorial vision and program, moderating key panels, and aiding with speaker recruitment
- In addition to cochairing the annual conference, you will set the vision and program and moderate interviews at our other annual tech-focused events, including a dinner at the Consumer Electronics show and possible virtual events throughout the year
- Contribute to other tech-focused interviews and programs at other Fortune live events
- Generate industry-leading scoops in tech/venture capital industry as time permits outside of Brainstorm conference
- Write occasional tech features for the magazine and/or website
- Bring a tech point of view to newsroom-wide brainstorms and conversations
