Forbes seeks managing editor/editorial coordinator

The Forbes’ editorial team seeks a highly-organized individual to make the trains run on time and emphasize excellence at a national magazine.

Requirements:

Ability to juggle multiple projects
Ability to work independently and with a wide array of individuals from different departments
Ability to work under deadlines ranging from one hour to several months is critical
Manage the fact-checking department
Manage major editorial projects
Oversee editorial awards nominations
Demonstrate editing and writing skills, ranging from display copy to front-of-the-book contributions

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
