Financial Times seeks Due Diligence reporter in New York

November 9, 2018

Posted by Chris Roush

The Financial Times is looking for a talented multimedia reporter to join the team that produces Due Diligence, the flagship global briefing on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and private equity.

We are launching an ambitious expansion of Due Diligence in 2019, led by James Fontanella-Khan in New York and Arash Massoudi in London. From January, we are set to add a fifth edition of the newsletter which runs from Tuesday to Friday and reaches over 28,000 premium FT subscribers.

This is a great opportunity for a multi-tasker seeking to play a role in shaping the future of financial and business news and how it is consumed. The role is based in NYC.

The candidate will write for DD, produce and pull together contributions from a core set of writers, in addition to the broader FT global network, on a daily basis.

DD is also planning to launch a series of live events around the world and the candidate is expected to play a role in the series’ editorial development and execution. Additional initiatives are also in the works.

On any given day, you may need to:

•    Produce and edit DD content
•    Write a short note
•    Turn a data set into an interesting chart
•    Work with the FT’s audio team to help create podcast
•    A knack for punchy, concise writing and visual presentation is a must
