Financial News in London seeks reporter to cover professional services

Financial News, the leading publication for the finance industry in London, is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic journalist to cover professional services, writing about auditors, lawyers and management consultants.

This is an opportunity for a journalist to break news on one of the most interesting beats in financial and corporate journalism.

Successful candidates will be confident writing front page stories and in-depth features on the world’s biggest professional services firms. The right person will be expected to develop contacts with people in the most high-profile institutions in the City of London and interview the biggest names in the industry.

Duties include producing feature-length stories each week on the professional services beat, reporting stories that are agenda-setting, highly visual and data rich, developing a deep network of sources, engaging with a broad audience through social media and helping to produce content for projects teams.

Applicants must be capable of conceiving and reporting original, in-depth stories, including scoops, producing fast, clean, compelling and accurate first drafts and developing a broad network of well-placed sources.

They must understand digital journalism concepts and digital storytelling techniques as well as a willingness to work as a team and cover for other reporters/editors where required.
