FairWarning (www.fairwarning.org), a nonprofit investigative news organization based in Pasadena, California, is looking for an aggressive reporter/editor to join our hard-working team.  We’re looking for an aggressive digger and talented self-starter with at least four years of reporting experience, and a demonstrated ability to handle detailed investigative and explanatory stories.

The deadline for applications is Friday, March 11.

FairWarning focuses on public health, safety and environmental issues, and related topics of government and business accountability. We’re nearing the sixth anniversary of our public launch in March, 2010. We publish on our website and in print, online and broadcast editions of media outlets across the country.

This will be a full-time job that involves long hours and the freedom to do deeply-reported stories that will make a difference. Qualified candidates from the Los Angeles area are encouraged to apply, but we’ll consider applicants from outside the area.

To apply, please send a brief cover letter, resume and three clips to Stuart Silverstein, assistant editor of FairWarning, at stuart.silverstein@fairwarning.org.
