The Fairfield County Business Journal, a weekly newspaper and daily online publication, seeks an experienced, inquisitive, versatile reporter for its wide-ranging coverage of the business, not-for-profit and government sectors in metro-suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Journalists with at least 2 to 3 years of work experience at a news publication are preferred. Recent college and journalism school graduates who have worked on student publications and in journalism internships and can show strong writing samples will be seriously considered.
Connecticut residency within convenient commuting distance of our White Plains office is a plus, but not required. Driving will be required for reporting duties.
The full-time position requires occasional photography to accompany reporting and an ability to work under deadline pressure in a demanding newsroom environment.
The Fairfield County Business Journal is a publication of Westfair Communications Inc. in White Plains. The company also publishes the weekly Westchester County Business Journal and WAG, a lifestyles magazine.
Applicants should send a cover letter, resume and at least three writing samples to John Golden, Managing Editor, at jgolden@westfairinc.com.
