Estuary News is looking for writers

Anyone with a strong story idea should feel free to send it our way. We’re accepting pitches about CA water and the San Francisco Estuary. Journos with demonstrated skill writing about water policy/ecology are encouraged to apply.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

ESTUARY News is a regional magazine of the San Francisco Estuary Partnership and its myriad partners around the Bay and Delta. Written by professional, independent journalists, it provides in-depth, silo-crossing coverage of the environmental, restoration, and climate adaptation issues of our time.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • Up to $1 per word
