Entrepreneur.com seeks staff writer

Entrepreneur.com is seeking a reporter in its New York City office tell smart, fun, creative stories about entrepreneurs and innovations that inform and inspire.

You will:
–Be a self-starter and an idea machine.
–Have a passion for technology, business, innovation and the people driving change.
–Have experience writing and reporting and a track record for content that engages readers.
–Be interested in telling stories on a range of platforms and formats.

You are:
–Quick, but careful. You are fast but are committed to accuracy. You never sacrifice quality for output.
–Creative and flexible. You can craft a vision but pivot when things aren’t working or circumstances change.
–Entrepreneurial. You look for what’s needed and make it happen. You look for solutions — not excuses or problems.
–Professional. You can take direction. You’re interested in learning from others around you.
–Independent and helpful. You don’t need a lot of hand holding but you play well with others.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
