Entrepreneur.com seeks junior reporter

Entrepreneur.com is seeking a Junior Reporter who’ll help with coverage and editorial assistant duties in its New York City office to help us tell smart, fun, creative stories about entrepreneurs and innovators that inform and inspire.

You will:

–Be a self-starter and an idea machine.

–Have a no-job-is-too-small mentality.

–Want to partner with editors and writers throughout our newsroom to work on a variety of projects in a number of mediums.

–Be polite and professional.

–Have a passion for technology, business, innovation and the people driving change.

–Have experience writing and reporting and a track record of content that engages readers, in an academic or professional setting.

–Be eager to brainstorm fresh angles and formats for any idea or article.

–Be an avid user of social media, well-versed in platforms from Twitter to Snapchat.

You are:

–Helpful and curious. You ask questions and want to learn.

–Quick, but careful. You are fast but have a sharp eye for detail.

–Creative and flexible. You have ideas and are excited to collaborate.

–Analytical. You think critically and aren’t afraid to share your insights.

–Entrepreneurial. You look for what’s needed and make it happen. You look for solutions, not excuses.

–Independent and helpful. You don’t need a lot of hand-holding but you play well with others.

The role is a dynamic one that includes assisting the print and digital team on a range of projects. The primary role includes administrative work, web production and working with our syndicated content partners, as well as reporting and writing. This role’s duties will change depending on the daily needs of the department, and could also include assisting with social media and video projects.

Send a cover letter (one that explains why your experience matches our needs), resume, three links to writing samples and five ideas you think we should assign next week. Send by email only to resumes_edit@entrepreneur.com, subject line: Junior Reporter
