Entrepreneur.com seeks insights editor

Entrepreneur.com seeks an editor in its New York City office to use data to help drive content creation and audience development online. The right candidate is a self-starter and an idea machine.

You Will:
–Will collaborate with data analysts, editors and writers to strategize content across platforms to drive engagement and page views.
–Have a deep knowledge of SEO and experience working with analytics tools to drive growth.
–Study traffic, keep emerging trends in sight and plan content to fit audience needs.
–Spearhead projects and guide the work of writers and editors.
–Help school writers and editors on SEO best practices to drive contributed content direction.
–Drive contributed content based on topics that are currently trending and those that will catch readers’ interests.
–Stay abreast of the latest digital publishing trends and the biggest voices online.

You are:
–A natural leader. You can prioritize and execute.
–Creative and flexible. You can craft a vision but pivot when things aren’t working or circumstances change.
–Entrepreneurial. You look for what’s needed and make it happen. You look for solutions — not excuses or problems.
–Independent and helpful. You don’t need a lot of hand holding but you play well with others.
–Organized and detailed. You can organize and track performance of your projects and stay on task. You are a natural planner and know your way around spreadsheets. You can juggle multiple projects and not get flustered.
–Experienced. You’ve edited and written knockout profiles, service pieces, how-tos and features — and can help others do the same. You know how to eyeball a pitch and find sources and brainstorm with others.
— Passionate. You care about your work and the topics we cover. You want the best for our audience and really think about what our readers want. You never sacrifice quality for output.
