E&E News seeks deputy editor for Energywire

E&E News is looking for an enterprising editor to help lead a team of reporters at Energywire, a daily online publication that covers all aspects of energy policy, politics and business.

What you’ll do:

You’ll make assignments, lead projects and guide reporters on the wide range of stories that Energywire covers, including features and breaking news on federal agencies, the White House, renewables, oil and gas, electric vehicles, state policy and clean tech. You would also assist the Energywire editor in assembling and editing daily editions.

What you’ll need:

  • Creative ideas and strong writing, editing and multi-tasking skills
  • Exemplary news judgment about developments in the energy sector
  • An ability to slide between editing big-picture features and breaking news, and distill complex topics into snappy prose for a national audience
  • A collaborative spirit for working with editors of E&E News’ four other daily publications.

About E&E News:

Working from the Politico newsroom in Arlington and from bureaus across the country, our 70 reporters and editors present intensive coverage of energy and the environment in five daily, password-protected online publications. Our readers pay a lot for comprehensive coverage and we deliver it in smart newspaper-style prose.
