E&E News seeks a chemicals reporter

Wanted: An experienced reporter to cover the chemical industry and the policies and politics that surround it.

The job: You’ll break stories on the industry and its overseers — regulatory agencies, Congress and watchdog groups – and write features on how chemicals affect our lives and health. You’ll hammer out a lot of daily stories, to be sure, but you’ll also have opportunities for investigations and for tapping our generous budget for reporting trips.

About us: E&E News rolls out five daily online publications with a staff of more than 70 reporters and editors. Our publications —GreenwireEnergywireClimatewireE&E Daily and E&E News PM provide essential news for energy and environment professionals. Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
