The London NewsPlus desk seeks a copy editor to join the team that compiles the Web-based front page for Dow Jones Newswires.
Working on a shift-based system that includes some unsociable hours, the successful candidate will join a group of Web editors who choose the best breaking news and analysis stories from across Dow Jones and present them in summary form for market professionals.
The ability to harness digital innovations to make stories shine is a pre-requisite. The role includes compiling the daily “Energy Journal” newsletter and several other market briefings. Additionally, there will be opportunities to contribute to other Dow Jones platforms such as wsj.com.
A good understanding of financial markets is a pre-requisite for the job and some previous reporting experience is an advantage.
Please note only candidates requested for interview will be contacted.
