Dow Jones seeks editor for energy and commodities in London

Dow Jones Newswires is seeking an editor in London to oversee coverage of energy and commodities.

This editor will ensure coverage meets the needs and expectations of this specialized audience, including coverage of supply and demand issues that affect the producers, consumers and traders of commodities and energy.

This editor will work with global commodities reporters to drive coverage for these wires and identify opportunities to expand upon specialized stories for publication elsewhere in the WSJ/DJN franchise. In addition, this editor will lead efforts to expand our use of data in reporting; this will include new data features for the commodity and energy services and data-driven reporting. This position will be based in London.

Required Experience and Expertise

Experience editing, overseeing a team of reporters and breaking news in a real-time environment are required. Expertise in commodities and energy, as well as in financial markets is required. This person must be entrepreneurial, adept at social media, capable of conceiving new product features and skilled in understanding and using data.
