Dow Jones newswires is seeking a digitally proficient financial journalist to join its Sydney bureau primarily covering technology, telecoms and media companies.
The journalist will be required to extract news from stock filings, explain significant changes in regulation, highlight big industry trends and write real-time news that engages professional investors. You will also be expected to chase interviews with major newsmakers with a view to producing scoops of fact and insight, as well as help to meet the broader demands of real-time coverage in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region.
This journalist will require experience in a fast-paced news environment and a background in corporate and markets coverage. Strong communication skills and an understanding of how to collaborate in a team environment are essential.
