dotLA seeks freelance writers to cover tech/startups

February 11, 2020

dotLA, a new Los Angeles-based digital newsroom covering the region’s technology and startup scene, is seeking freelance writers. We’re interested in great storytelling and breaking news in a variety of industries — including eSports/gaming, cannabis, retail, financial services, health, and social media.

Our mission is clear: Tell the story of startups that are super-charging the world of technology, the intersection of tech and entertainment, and the money bankrolling it all. And don’t forget the bigger-than-life personalities — from Elon Musk to Evan Spiegel to Gwyneth Paltrow.

To apply, you should be familiar with technology and startups. But we’re interested in experienced writers from any background that are critical thinkers, good communicators, and know how to write a spectacular story. We strongly encourage applicants who are people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ. Our hiring mission is to be as diverse as possible — the best way to cover such a diverse industry.
