Our mission is clear: Tell the story of startups that are super-charging the world of technology, the intersection of tech and entertainment, and the money bankrolling it all. And don’t forget the bigger-than-life personalities — from Elon Musk to Evan Spiegel to Gwyneth Paltrow.
Here’s where you fit in. The role of managing editor will never be the same thing each day. You’ll be tasked with making the trains run on time, keeping the website robust, running breaking news stories, and executing on award-winning enterprise stories. Our coverage spans a range of beats, including apps, streaming services, social media, video games, and retail. You’ll also be instrumental in managing dozens of freelancers and columnists supplementing our daily coverage.
To apply, you should be familiar with technology and startups. But we’re interested in experienced editors from any background that are critical thinkers, good communicators, and know how to write a spectacular headline. We strongly encourage applicants who are people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ. Our hiring mission is to be as diverse as possible — the best way to cover such a diverse industry.
