If you love words and wine, here’s a rare career opportunity with Direct Wines, Inc. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented copywriter to join our growing creative team.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Direct Wines, Inc. is an established market leader headquartered in the UK with teams in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Our U.S. business is a fast-growing, dynamic team that is launching exciting new concepts in the DTC wine space.
Founded in 1969, we remain a family-run business and these values are essential to our culture.
Wine is one of life’s great pleasures. We believe it should be as easy and enjoyable as possible for consumers to explore the world of wine and find wines that are perfectly suited to their individual tastes. We also believe in supporting passionate, small-estate winemakers and sharing the stories behind their wines. By working with licensed wine retailers throughout the U.S., we bring talented wine producers and thirsty wine fans together and offer the most personalized wine experience around.
Our core brands are Laithwaites and WSJwine from The Wall Street Journal. We also manage the DTC wine programs for a growing list of other major brands, including NatGeo, NPR and Turner Classic Movie
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll be producing persuasive, well-crafted copy across a wide variety of channels, both online and offline campaigns, including digital, social, print and other outlets. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment—across multiple brands—providing high-quality copy to tight deadlines.
Wine knowledge will be very useful, but is not a requirement. We provide wine training
for all our staff through the internationally recognized Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
EXPERIENCE
You will ideally have 5+ years of workplace experience, with a strong understanding of branding and marketing. Good communication and organization skills are essential, as the role requires working closely with people across the business to develop projects from brief to execution. Familiarity with Macs plus Adobe (1 year) and Figma is a plus.
