Digiday is hiring a hungry and self-starting media reporter with 1-3 years experience writing, reporting, blogging and editing to help expand our media and publishing coverage into the breaking news and real-time realm.
Responsibilities include the following and will expand based upon company needs:
– Pitch and write two to three posts a day banking of trending news in the media and publishing space (eg: a look at the first day of Instant Articles along with publisher feedback, CNN launches a new distributed Web video network, Twitter taps a New York Times’ veteran to run Moments, etc)
– Be able to identify what makes for a good media-business “Digiday” story
– A willingness to pick up a phone, attend offsite events and cultivate a network of sources in the industry
– Understand — or be willing to learn — the business-side of the media and publishing industry.
