January 5, 2020

Posted by Chris Roush

The Detroit Free Press is looking for a reporter to help cover Detroit’s resurgence and development, including small business, watch-dogging government incentives and investment to see how they affect the core downtown as well as in long-neglected neighborhoods.

This position seeks a confident journalist who is comfortable making sober reports on progress and lack thereof. The Free Press and freep.com, part of the USA Today Network, have the greatest reach locally and nationally in telling the story of the ongoing effort to revive one of America’s great cities, a global business center rich in entrepreneurial spirit and innovation. Free Press reporting jobs are enterprise-focused and digital first, with digital, print and audio reports each day. Reporting experience is required; business reporting experience is preferred.
