Denver Post seeks tech reporter

August 13, 2014

Posted by Chris Roush

The award-winning Denver Post is seeking a top-notch reporter to work in our technology beat.

We’re looking for a talented journalist who knows how to get the real story, but also is versed in finding real people in real-life situations. We need a person who has a wide range of digital skills, using databases, social media as well as good shoe-leather reporting. We need a person who breaks news with regularity in a competitive media environment.

Denver, Colorado, is one of the fastest growing consumer markets in the nation. With its young and vibrant audience base and large technology corporations, Denver continues to prove what a lucrative market the Rocky Mountain region can really be. Add to that the worldwide interest in the state’s recent legalization of marijuana, and 2014 will be a great year to be in Denver.

The Denver Post is Colorado’s media leader, reaching more metro-area adults than any television show, radio program, publication or website. The Post ranks No. 12 daily and No. 10 Sunday in the nation for total paid circulation. According to Scarborough reports, it reaches 549,000 adult readers every day and 970,000 on Sunday. The Post is a nine-time Pulitzer-prize winner committed to building a diverse team.

We’re looking to fill this position quickly. Interested applicants should send a resume, clips and references to Business Editor Dana Coffield, dcoffield(at)denverpost.com.
