Debtwire seeks bankruptcy reporters

Debtwire has several immediate openings for investigative reporters to cover corporate bankruptcies across multiple industries.

Debtwire, part of the Mergermarket Group, publishes real-time news and data on high yield, distressed debt, leveraged finance, and restructuring situations globally through our network of journalists and analysts.

We routinely break news in the restructuring, distressed and primary issuance markets. Editorial content also delves into detailed analysis of recovery scenarios, relative value and buyside strategy. Ideal candidates will have experience reporting on court proceedings and combing through court dockets for news.

Candidates should be skilled at real-time reporting and building a network of contacts to deliver exclusive, source-driven copy. These rewarding, high-pressure jobs offer an opportunity to be part of a tight-knit reporting team known for digging up scoops and providing actionable analysis. Journalism experience is preferred. Applicants should possess strong writing skills and a drive to break news on this fast-paced beat. This position is based in our New York Office.

To apply, please send a resume, cover letter and clips to john.bringardner@debtwire.com.
