Dealreporter, an online financial news service read by deal makers and investors, is looking for a reporter based in New York to cover M&A deals and corporate strategy in the consumer/retail and industrial sectors.

You will be working with an established team of investigative journalists based across the US, Europe and Asia to cover this high-profile beat.
The right candidate needs to be able to generate original story ideas, make new sources and quickly pick up financial information. An existing source book of sector or M&A sources is preferred, though applicants with a strong networking ability will be considered.
Key Skills:
- Keen interest in mergers and acquisitions
- Ability to pick up on trends and develop original angles for stories
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- 2 or more years of experience in financial journalism or a strong track record of scoops on another beat
