D CEO magazine seeks senior editor/writer

D CEO magazine, the award-winning monthly business title of D Magazine Partners in Dallas, is looking for an assertive, team-oriented senior writer/editor with at least five years of business-journalism experience.

The ideal candidate will report and write about the region’s major industries, with a strong focus on commercial and residential real estate.

In addition, the candidate will conceive of, assign, and edit a variety of general business stories written by staff members and freelancers. The candidate also will supervise long-term special projects.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
