Creatis is looking for a copywriter. Local to Minneapolis/St.Paul preferred.

Creatis is a creative and marketing resourcing firm that helps businesses across the Twin Cities get more work done by delivering outsourced studio production services and on-site staffing resources to extend the capabilities of their internal teams. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the brand voice of the company as a subject matter expert.
  • Partner across the company to determine departmental- and channel-specific messaging within the brand environment.
  • Develop a clear point-of-view on the corporate approach to all marketing events.
  • Provide strategic marketing writing consistent with the Sleep Number brand and voice.
  • Write marketing communication pieces, including print, radio, web, mobile, social & new media; new product positioning, features and benefits
  • Participate with designers and project managers in strategic project planning
  • Work alongside designers and project managers to develop creative concepts and marketing collateral, ensuring the voice is apparent and consistent.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects with internal and external partners
  • Take responsibility for project workflow, scheduling supplementary writing as necessary
  • When required, proofread various marketing materials
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and Select Comfort policies
  • Set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Stay up to date on the latest retail design and messaging trends and competitive analysis

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years digital experience as a copywriter in agency, freelance or corporate environment.
  • Exposure to marketing environment & standards

Education: BA/BS degree in Writing, Journalism, English or related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Exceptional communication skills (oral & written)
  • Leadership qualities, coordinating and management/interpersonal skills
  • Experience with digital and social channels and how to communicate in them
  • Understand brand positioning & message hierarchy
  • Customer focused writing and attitude
  • Good organization/project management
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Able to multitask and take direction from multiple sources
  • Willing to work alone or as part of a creative team
  • Able to work using accepted processes
  • Ability to make decisions under short deadlines
  • Must be able to work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, InCopy) preferred but not essential

COMPENSATION

  • $40-$50/hour- 6 months; with potential for extension and even contract to hire.
