Consumer Reports is looking for an experienced deputy editor for its electronics editorial team.

We want someone with a deep competitive instinct who can develop, write, and edit compelling content across several print and online platforms.
Qualified candidates should be have at least ten years of experience at a major national magazine or web publication and a background in consumer service journalism. The deputy editor will report directly to the Electronics Content Team Leader and manage a team of editors and analysts. He or she will work closely with our in-house labs and survey departments to create dynamic multi-platform content about electronic gadgets and services ranging from UltraHD TVs to social networks to smart watches.
A strong background covering telecommunications services and privacy is preferred. Also, the ideal candidate should be willing to maintain an aggressive social media presence and be comfortable on camera as a spokesperson for the brand, since we will put him or her on television. This is a big job, people—and a real opportunity to affect change in a product category that defines the modern world.
