Cody Enterprise seeks a reporter

The Cody Enterprise is a twice-weekly, award-winning newspaper in Cody, Wyoming. Our team of journalists plays a crucial role in keeping the public informed on matters that affect their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, investigate and report on government activities, policies and decisions at the local and state levels.
  • Develop a network of reliable sources within your beats.
  • Pitch, research and write engaging feature stories that highlight unique individuals, communities and cultural events.
  • Produce balanced and fact-checked news articles, adhering to journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with a knack for capturing the essence of a story.
  • Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining accuracy and clarity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build connections and sources.
  • Proficiency in multimedia reporting, including photography, is a plus.
